To preserve and protect these halves as much as possible, they are packaged in a snug fitting plastic tube.While these plastic tubes are not impervious, they provide a much greater level of protection than paper rolls while still allowing easy access to the coins. At the center of the design is a bald eagle with a shield. The eagle has each of its limbs outstretched and holds a bundle of arrows with one foot and an olive branch with the other. Coins that have a low degree of wear will display fine details on the shield and the feathers of the eagle.Above the eagle####x2019;s head is a banner which reads E PLURIBUS UNUM. Next to the eagle####x2019;s head and above the banner is a collection of 13 stars. Surrounding the eagle is a complete circle made of 50 stars.
